I Won’t Forget

I Won’t Forget Jason Ferguson

by Jason Ferguson

I won’t forget…

The pain, discomfort and uneasiness of not knowing what was wrong for months
You explaining the process and how it would affect me and expectations

The tears, frustration, and pain during treatment upon returning home
How you pushed me to continue and providing encouragement

The uneasiness of approaching that dreadful machine daily
The comforting and professionalism of all of you

Drinking copious amounts of water
You being patient and tolerant when I did not drink enough of that wonderful  water

All the care that you provided
This experience or ANY OF YOU. THANK YOU

Jason Ferguson is a USMC Veteran and a squamous cell carcinoma survivor living in Philadelphia, PA. This is a poem he presented to his treatment team at the Veterans Medical Center in Philadelphia.
