Nourish it, and it shall treat you well they say.
Cherish it and protect your temple at all costs.
But what happens when those preconceived notions that began way before you could ever choose your path start to form?
Those deceptive genes have done you well this time.
No purchase or explanation is necessary, just how it is.
And there it is plain as day…CANCER.
Sitting there making a mockery of me.
A sense of shock and then anger fill the captivity of my walls.
But then I look in the mirror and remember who I am.
A warrior, No doubt. Beautiful, so I embrace it. Wisdom came forth because my body has deceived me.
With a smile on my face, I find light and the strength to fight and not only survive but live!
I say hello to deception, but you cannot have me…
