Metastatic Breast Cancer Survey
Participation Requested by July 14
METAvivor Research and Support, Inc., has put together a survey that will help METAvivor build a report that describes the impact of metastatic breast cancer on the lives of those living with the disease. Very little information is available on the actual disease and far less information exists on the toll that BC mets takes.
The survey can be accessed at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3TYNY27. Participation is anonymous and any questions that do not apply or that you do not wish to answer can be skipped.
METAvivor will use the survey information to write one or more reports to inform policymakers, researchers, cancer organizations and the public as to the seriousness of the disease and the great need for change and improvement in many areas. Once reports are final, they will be posted on the METAvivor website.
The findings will be presented to the upcoming Advanced Breast Cancer First Consensus Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, in November. The deadline to submit articles for that conference is rapidly approaching, hence the urgency of getting survey results no later than July 14th.
METAvivor Research and Support, Inc., is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for metastatic breast cancer, has a large support program, advocates for change for the BC mets community and awards an annual research grant for metastatic breast cancer.
