Take It Away

by Sylvia Solomon

Inspiration image

Standing facing myself,
a new change and outlook.
There is more to me
than my body parts,
so you can take it away.

What good is a part
that can destroy the whole?
Is it more than my life?
Is it more than my soul?
The best in me is yet to unfold,
so you can take it away.
